Jeffland Visits The Temperance House

Jeffland visits the Temperance House
Newtown Pennsylvania

     Jeffland Diary

I went to the Newtown Library for a poetry event at 8 PM till around 10 PM.   It's the library where William Penn used to spend time. Built in 1740, the vibes were excellent for the main poet and additional 10-12 performers who read one poem each.

The Newtown Library Company, founded in 1760, has been providing the community with books and information for centuries. The current library is located in a historic brick building that dates back to 1912. It is home to a children's collection, fiction and nonfiction, reference books, historic collections and more. The Newtown Library Company also hosts children's storytimes, a poetry group and other events throughout the year.
